RealTime Gaming is about to launch their brand new Frog Fortunes slot on the October 28 2020, and we couldn’t wait to write something about it, even though there is very little information on the slot, so we will be sharing some insights that we have had the privilege of getting our hands on.
When you see the words “frog” and “fortune” in a slot title, one would immediately assume that it has to do with a Chinese theme involving the well-known money frog lucky Chinese symbol, but to the contrary, RealTime Gaming’s Frog Fortunes has nothing to do with being a Chinese-inspired slot.
We head to the jungle where a giant golden frog is nestled between the plants having a 5 x 3 reel grid occupied by unique hexagonal-shaped symbols that RealTime Gaming has introduced in this 243 ways stunning visualized slot.
The golden frog explodes Frog Fortunes on the reels triggering a Cascading Reels Feature via the special Exploding Bomb symbol. As far as we know, there are no FREE spins available, but we can only know for sure once the game has officially been launched by RTG Gaming.

Theme and Symbols

RealTime Gaming have once again designed a slot with exceptional graphics for a very aesthetically pleasing slot with gemstones serving as the low-value symbols and animal idols as the high-value symbols in the form of Eagles, Reptiles, Frogs and Mammals. There is also an Exploding Bomb symbol that triggers various features as will be discussed below.
The detail in the background depicts a serene looking jungle where our golden frog is perched on what looks like an Inca/Mayan style round disk resembling a tribal gathering area of sorts, with the unique 5×3 reel, hexagonal symbol position grid hovering above it.

Features in Frog Fortunes

The Exploding Bomb symbol can randomly appear on the reel grid after any spin and when it lands, it will explode in 1 of 10 random Blast Patterns. A randomly selected symbol will then be chosen to fill the empty spaces affected by the blast. If a winning combination results with the newly replaced symbols that landed, the Cascading Reels Feature will be triggered.
The Cascading Reels Feature is only triggered after an Exploding Bomb symbol has exploded.
When winning combinations land after the explosion, the winning symbols will disappear off the grid, with the empty spaces filled with new symbols that may lead to new winning combinations forming. The Cascading Rees Feature continues until no new further winning combinations land on the reels.

Conclusion

As far as we can tell, RTG’s Frog Fortunes looks extremely attractive with some interesting and innovative gameplay thrown into the mix.
As mentioned before, based on the rather low max win, which is probably the only downside to this slot, it will probably have a low variance and will be perfectly suited to the more casual player. It’s great to see a frog slot that veers away from the Chinese theme, and in this instance, offering a jungle-theme instead.
Frogs are renowned not to be the most loved creatures as they are slimy and have a bad rap of giving one warts (even though this is a myth), but the golden frog in Frog Fortunes is about to rewrite the way we view frogs in the future. We wait in bated breath for RealTime Gaming to release Frog Fortunes and look forward to a ribbiting experience.
